To catch a glimpse of Santa’s reindeers can be an absorbing game that can afford hours of fun to children and their parents, provided they let their hair down and let the spirit and magic of the holiday season take over. Apart from looking for Santa and his reindeers in the sky you could also try to spot them in many game sites online. Of course, it is not always easy to catch Santa or one of his trusty reindeers streaking across the sky because they travel so fast. Here are some handy tips that will help you along in the game. Happy spotting.

Spot the reindeer

1. First and foremost, look at pictures of reindeers to find out what a reindeer looks like. Be sure to keep a picture of a reindeer close by as Christmas draws near.
2. Keep your eyes peeled to look for Santa being driven by Rudolf in the night sky. They really drive by very fast but if you are very careful you just might spot Rudolf’s red nose shining through the fog. The other reindeers generally follow behind.
3. If you are really quiet then you might also hear the bells on Santa’s sleigh jingling and Santa laughing his usual loud laugh to keep the reindeers in good cheer.
4. Go online to track Santa on the net. There are many internet sites (www.noradsanta.com among others) which like to keep themselves as well as everyone else posted about Santa and his whereabouts.
5. Keep a few cookies out for the reindeers as well when you leave some for Santa. They are especially fond of oatmeal cookies.

Do’s

• Try and learn the names of all of Santa’s reindeers. They are Rudolf, Dasher, Dancer, Donder, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Blitzen, Cupid and Olive.

Don’ts

• Don’t be too disappointed if you do not spot the reindeers. Remember very few people are lucky to spot them. Wait for better luck next year.
