How to decorate a gift basket
To decorate a gift basket and glamorize it you need to add a few embellishments and some ornaments. A gift basket is a unique idea for a gift; much more so than any flowers or card could hope to be and if the basket is customized then it becomes even more special both to you as well as to the person you have sent it to. There are innumerable ways to decorate a basket and literally hundreds of ways to embellish it using simple things like a ribbon and some flowers. Here are some handy tips to help you in creating a unique work of art.
A few suggestions
- Baskets that are decorated with flowers look very pretty. Flowers may be made of silk or they may be dried flowers but remember that if the basket is meant to be put in the bathroom then you should decorate the basket with silk flowers because dried flowers tend to get spoilt due to moisture.
- Baskets can also be decorated with ribbons twisted around the handle with a matching ribbon twirled around the rim or the edge of the basket. The edges of the ribbon may be secured with hot glue.
- The inside of the basket may be lined with straw, tissue or even confetti. The flowers can be secured to the basket using wire or hot glue.
- The basket may be for someone’s pet; it may be a breakfast basket, a lovers’ basket, a tea time basket or even a gardener’s basket.
Do’s
- Spray a lovers’ basket with perfume and do not forget to add a bottle of wine in the hamper.
Don’ts
- Do not use hot glue with children around. Use a standard tube of glue or white adhesive instead.
Thanks for the ideas on gift baskets.
