Bicycles are unpretentious and wonderfully graceful machines that appeal to all children from a very young age. The best thing about bicycles is that they can take you where you want to go much faster and using much less energy than if you walk or run. When you are choosing a bike you must ensure that the bike you finally buy fits the young person’s age requirements.
Here are some guidelines to help you select the correct bike, one that is appropriate for the child’s biking needs.

- First and foremost, fix a budget. There is almost no limit to what you can spend on a new children’s bike so calculate what price range you are willing to pay and try to consider only those bikes that fall within that price range.
- Check out different sizes in different brands to find a bike that is the correct size for your child. Remember that children’s bikes measure only the wheel size and not the frame size so you need to ensure that while straddling the bike, the child is able to stand with his/ her feel flat on the ground without trouble.
