Christmas Festivities in Miami

Miami ChristmasMillions of tourists visit Miami every year and there is no better time to visit the city than when in the holiday season. The weather is still nice and warm and there is more to see than just seashells on a walk on the beach.
Visit the Nutcracker Presentation by ETA Huffman and Tchaikovsky, located at the Knight Concert Hall. It’s about a young girl who gets a nutcracker doll that gets tragically broken. Later that evening, the doll comes to life as the Nutcracker Prince, taking her on a delightful adventure.

You can also visit Santa’s Enchanted Forest–a theme park of sorts with over a hundred rides, shows and other attractions at this gigantic park. The children can visit with Santa at the park and see a huge 90 foot Christmas tree, millions of lights and other decorations. The place even boasts a post office that sends all the posts to the North Pole directly. Take the kids on a pony ride or visit the petting zoo.

For art goers, there is the Art Basel Art Show in Miami in early December. It is an international art show and depicts art from more than 195 world-renowned galleries. There is also an Art Projects event which is a series of public art projects near the convention center, including Art performances at Collins Park. All fields of art are represented, including sculpture, drawing, photography, performance art, digital art and painting.

Miami is a place for fun in the sun and holiday fun for families visiting over the holidays. The malls are nicely decorated for shoppers and there are great places to get that last minute shopping done.
