Celebrating the Holidays with LED Lights
Try eco-friendly lighting options such as Holiday LED lights.
The holiday season is coming! Stores are starting to set up their holiday displays and people everywhere are getting their Christmas wish lists in order.
Christmas lights are another great holiday tradition, and while it might be a little bit too early in the season for a Chuck Griswold-sized holiday display, its time to at least evaluate your Christmas lighting needs.
Eco-friendly holiday lighting
A new trend we’re seeing going into the upcoming holiday season is with eco-friendly holiday lighting options - specifically, holiday LED lights.
LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are extremely energy efficient, especially when compared to traditional incandescent bulbs. In fact, LED lights can last anywhere from 50,000 to 100,000 hours vs. incandescents which are good for about 10,000 hours on average. Additionally, LEDs burn very cool, unlike incandescent bulbs, which emit about 98 percent of their energy as heat. This means that holiday LEDs are cool to the touch!
Resistant to heat, cold and shock, LEDs really are ideal for indoor and outdoor holiday lighting. Your average string of 70 Christmas LED lights will only consume 4 Watts! Now, that’s impressive!
Now how do you decide which LED lights to decorate your home with? Well, since all LEDs provide the same environmental benefits, it all comes down to personal style. Below are some of my favorite styles of holiday LED lights.
- LED Icicle Lights: Perfect for hanging everywhere, from your fence to your eaves - icicle LED lights are wintery and fun. American Lighting LLC makes a great line of Standard Grade LED icicle lights available in either a pure white light or a warm white light.
- Multi Colored LED String Lights: These are the quintessential Christmas tree lights, with one difference. They are cool to the touch! Perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, you can use these LEDs on your Christmas tree and your foliage outside! Available in various sizes and shapes, you can choose the option that best suits your home.
- LED Clip Lights: LED clip lights are similar to holiday string lights, except they feature a lot more lights per string. Perfect for wrapping that big tree in your front yard with lights, the LED clip lights from American Lighting LLC can last up to 12 years!
- LED Rope Light: LED rope lights are a fun way to decorate your home for the holidays. Holiday Lighting Specialists offer a premade “Happy Holidays” sign made from a rope light, featuring over 650 dazzling red and white LEDs that wrap around a coated steel frame.
- LED Candle Lights: Much safer than sticking real candles in your window sills, these battery-powered LED candle lights, look like real candles and even flicker for a truly realistic affect. The 3 tier LED Electric Window Candle from Good Tidings features either an antique brass or pewter base and takes only 3 D batteries. The best part, they will last throughout the holiday season!
When it comes to decking the halls this season, your holiday LED lighting options are endless! Just as bright as standard incandescent Christmas lights, LEDs won’t burn your fingers or a hole in your wallet. Get on Santa’s good list by doing something good for the environment this season!
Yes i do agree with you , as LED Christmas lights are extremely echofriendly and energy efficient, using only 10% of the electricity required to power traditional incandescent bulbs. Also these LED bulbs have long life span than ordinary light bulb and. you do not have to buy Christmas lights every year.
Also the installation of these light is very easy and its hardl takes about 2-3 minutes. These lights are available in different shapes and sizes. By Using these lights you can enjoy Christmas and at the same time save money on your energy bill.

Downside is when they burn out you can not replace them. I went the all LED route this year and had a whole net stop working. So I need to go out and replace the whole net.
