Christmas Chocolate Cookies
Prepare delicious Christmas chocolate cookies with this famous recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Preparation
- Place the rack at the oven’s center that has been preheated to 350° F. Line with parchment paper the two baking sheets.
- In your mixer, combine butter and sugar and beat for at least 3 minutes or until they have turned lighter and fluffier. Mix the vanilla extract and the egg while mixing continuously until they have incorporated in the mixture. Meanwhile, combine and sift altogether the cocoa powder, baking powder, flour salt to the mixture. Once everything has been incorporated, fold in the morsels of chocolate chips.
- Scoop the batter using an ice cream scoop or spoon. Place each scooped mixture in a baking sheet at approximately 2 inches apart.
- Bake for about 8 minutes or as soon as the cookies’ edges have become firm while the center are still soft. Remove the cookies and let them cool for five minutes. Transfer them in a wire rack where they will be kept cooled completely.
- The recipe can yield 24 - 3 inch round cookies.
