A Christmas Carol
3D Animation (2009)
Definitely a classic, Miser Ebenezer Scrooge woke up on Christmas Eve by spirits who presented to him everything that he missed during his lifetime. He looked at himself in the past and how much he wasted his youth doing other less meaningful stuffs. He also looked at how cruel he has become and how he is going to live his future if he will not change. He has two options wherein he may choose between death or redeeming himself in the process.
The Search for Santa Paws
American comedy film (2010)
Santa stars in this very nice movie wherein he befriended Paws. Sensing that boys and girls have already lost the spirit of the season, the two decided to take a visit to New York City. However, Santa loses his memory leaving Paws to carry on the mission. Along with an orphan named Quinn, her friend Will and a group of dogs that can talk, saving St. Nick has never been made easier.
This Christmas
American Film (2007)
Christmas is about family reunions and this is just what the movie is exactly all about. For seven years, the family is once again reunited and while renewing the bonds, they have rediscovered each other.
The 12 Dogs of Christmas
American comedy film (2005)
12 Dogs of Christmas brings you back to the early 1920s during the Great Depression. The story is centered around a 12 year old girl named Emma who lives with her aunt in the town of Doverville. Because of the people’s inadequacy, the rest of the town has also forgotten celebrating Christmas. However, Emma was able to bring 12 dogs together to enliven the Christmas spirit around the area.
Christmas Story
Finnish film (2007)
The Christmas Story has Nikolas as the main character. He is an orphaned boy whom the village where he lives has decided to take good care of him. Every Christmas, Nikolas moves to a different family. After Christmas, he would normally present a simple token to his adoptive families and their children in the form of toys which he personally crafted. When he reached the age of 13, he was sent to live with Iisakki. He is an old carpenter who did not permit Nikolas to make send off presents during Christmas. Eventually the little boy was able to change the carpenter’s outlook until he was able to earn his trust. They worked together into making toys that Nikolas will give out as presents to his adoptive families. Iisakki eventually grew older and he had to leave Nikolas behind putting his tradition into risk. In the end, the boy was able to come up with a brilliant plan wherein he can still continue doing the tradition that he has started.
The Family Stone
American comedy-drama film (2005)
The Family Stone is about a family that is closely-knit. It is composed of family members with different personalities. The father is a professor while the children are gay with another one who is laid back and judgmental. They also have a daughter who is ascerbic and pregnant. One of the children is a guy who brought along his businesswoman girlfriend home for the holidays. Hs reason for bringing along the girl is to ask her hand in marriage. The girl brought along her little sister. The 3-day holiday turned out to be a revelation of sorts wherein many feelings nad secrets have been revealed.
